Shenandoah Presbytery offers a number of grants and scholarships through it's various committees and funds.  Please review the guidelines and applications to determine the opportunities for which you may apply.

Camp and Conference Scholarship Grants - 2008
The Funds Administration Committee is now taking applications for grants to attend a church related camp, conference or work camp during 2008.  Requests must be RECEIVED by April 28, 2008.  A decision will be made by the committee by May 6, 2008

Worldwide Ministries - Mission Grants
The Worldwide Ministries Committee makes funds available in the form of grants to churches and groups within the presbytery needing funding assistance for mission projects. Download the Grant Criteria Form and the Application form below.

Professional Development Grants
The Professional Development Committee also has resources available for Continuing Education Grants for Ministers, Christian Educators, Commissioned Lay Pastors, Church Musicians and other church professionals and will be receiving applications postmarked by April 15, 2008.  Information and applications are available below.  For more iinformation contact Ann Pettit at apettit@massanuttenchurch.org or 540-434-6194.

2009 Moffett Grant Fund

The Moffett Grant Fund Committee receives applications annually from churches and mission communities for funding grants to “empower congregations to be centers for mission through the task of diakonia: sending servant leaders to minister to the pain of a hurting world.”

The 2008 Grants have been announced and are available online now.

2008 College Scholarship Grants

The Funds Administration Committee announces that are limited funds avaiable to offer College Scholarship Grants for the 2008-09 year.  Please review the Guidelines and Commitments, complete the Grant Application in full and send it to the presbytery office postmarked no later than August 19, 2008.  The Committe will announce the grants after it's August 26 meeting.

Synod of Mid-Atlantic Grants

   
    Visionary Fund
- available for use for ministries to define a specific need and plan that clearly focuses on new, existing, racially inclusive and creative programs which address ways to implement the priorities of the Synod in the areas of education, evangelism, and social justice. Presbyteries are welcome to propose projects in these areas. Letter and application form.


   
Older Adults Ministries Endowment Fund -  available for the Synod "to repsond to the initiatives of  the presbyteries in the development of inter-presbytery shared mission ministries to the end that congregations and constituency groups within the region can better perform their ministries."
