Montreat Youth Conference.
July 6-12, 2008. Montreat Conference Center.
Shenandoah Presbytery is once again organizing a trip to the Montreat
Youth Conference in Montreat, North Carolina. We have secured 25
reservations (21-22 youth and 3-4 adults) for the Youth III Conference
the week of July 6-12. Current ninth graders through graduating Seniors
are invited to join the group and experience a week of fun, fellowship and
spiritual growth with other young people from all over the nation. The
deadline to register is April 30. Registration will be on a first-come,

Back to the Mountains: A Storytelling
Festival. June 6-7, 2008, Children's Home of the Highlands,
Wytheville, Va. The Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands, who are
hosting this event, is a residential childcare provider that understands
the awesome responsibilities we assume as we strive to meet our mission of

2008 Mid-Atlantic
Synod Men's Conference. July 18-20, 2008. Massanetta Springs
Conference Center. This annual Presbyterian Men's conference is designed
to encourage and support men to come to know Jesus Christ and be enriched
in the Spirit.All men are invited come and join what promises to be an exciting
weekend event full of great speakers, fellowship and good food. Event flyer and registration.
2008 Worship
Conference: "Why Do God's People Sing?" October 11,
2008. Featuring John Bell at Salisbury Presbyterian Church. Bell will lead
a study on congregational song. The costis $25 per person for members of sponsoring
denominations, if paid by October 8, includes lunch. Group Registration
for sponsoring denominations: $100/Church, up to 6 people, additional persons
$10 each. $40 for general public at door, lunch as available.

Magnetic Church Conference.
November 14-15, 2008. Opequon Church, Winchester. This conference on practical
evangelism for mainline churches is being sponsored by the Committee on
Church Development with speaker Andy Weeks. The event is set to begin at
6:30pm on Friday evening and conclude on Saturday at 4:00pm. More information
will be available nearer to the event date.
