Commissioned Ruling Elder Training

Over the years, Shenandoah Presbytery has provided training to persons wishing to be considered for Commissioning. Recently, our Presbytery  and several others have partnered with Union Presbyterian Seminary beginning this fall, to offer the educational component of the program.  We are excited to offer this new service that we believe will be reasonably priced and more accessible.  Most classwork from Union Presbyterian will be taken online and at home.  The classes are available to anyone regardless of their desire to pursue a commissioning track; however, space may be limited.

Those who wish to pursue preparation to become CREs must be in contact with Shenandoah Presbytery early on, so that we can outline the steps and procedures needed, and to explain what being a CRE can involve.
