| Shenandoah Presbytery's Disaster
Response Team continues to plan and prepare for a variety of situations
in which it may be called upon to act. A Disaster Response could be anything
from collecting and delivering much needed Church World Service Disaster
Kits to reacting to a real emergency within the presbytery or nearby communities. The Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan begins to provide the framework for churches and mission communities to assist in disaster relief efforts. As the plan continues to develop it will be updated. In the meantime, congregations are strongly encouraged to develop their own disaster response plan to help mitigate the effect an emergency may have on their mission and ministry. |
