DISASTER PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE

Shenandoah Presbytery’s Disaster Preparedness & Response Team (DPRT) was created in 2007 out of a need for a robust disaster plan, safeguards for the administrative office, and a disaster preparedness training plan.  Disasters, natural and human-caused, are catastrophic events that overwhelm the local ability to respond.  Disaster response in Shenandoah Presbytery moves in two directions.  It reaches inward to Presbytery churches and communities experiencing disaster events, and also reaches out to communities in need beyond our Presbytery.

At this website you can access the Disaster Plan, identify the DPRT, get information about CWS Kits, and view many training resources.  The DPRT partners with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) to aid disaster response and Presbyterian Women for preparedness training.
