Camp and Conference Scholarship Grants – 2023
The Presbytery has limited funds to provide scholarships to young people to attend a church-related camp, conference, or work camp in the summer. Requests must be received by 4:30 pm, May 1st in any year. Approval of scholarships will be made by the Committee on Educational Resources by May 15th in any year. The Committee on Educational Resources is now accepting applications for camp and conference scholarships for the 2023 year. Application deadline is 4:30 pm, May 1, 2023. Questions? Contact Rev. College Scholarship Grants – 2023-2024 School Year
Shenandoah Presbytery has limited funds to support members of Presbyterian churches in the Presbytery pursue post-high school education. Applications must include an endorsement from the applicant’s session and completed applications are due by June 1st, 2023. We will accept mailed applications, but digital is preferred. The Committee on Educational Resources will evaluate applications at our July meeting and will notify all scholarship recipients by August 1st, 2023.

Committee on Church Vitality and Transformation Grants
CCVT receives applications for Ministry Program Grants. Completed applications are to be directed to the Presbytery Office.
Committee on Presbytery Administration
CPA receives applications for Emergency Repairs/Maintenance Work. Completed applications are to be directed to the Presbytery Office.
Dawn C. Bulle Fund for Education and Vocational Training
The fund is a loan fund for the purpose of providing further education or vocational training for members and children of members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Preference is given to members and children of members of Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church, Grottoes, Virginia. Global Mission Grant Fund
The Committee on Mission and Outreach has established the Bernice Hiett Global Mission Grant Fund to support mission activities in the global or “foreign” mission field. Those wishing to apply for funds should demonstrate interest in international mission through their congregation or related organization. The Grant criteria provide the terms and conditions for applying. Of special note is that advance planning is required since the funds are only available on a quarterly basis through the corporation.

The Innovations in Worship Grant
Shenandoah Presbytery is “a Community of Christ for worship, nurture and mission.” In order to facilitate congregations’ innovations in worship, the Presbytery has made available funds for churches to use.
Moffett Grant Fund
The Moffett Grant Fund Committee receives applications annually from churches and mission communities for funding grants to “empower congregations to be centers for mission through the task of diakonia: sending servant leaders to minister to the pain of a hurting world.”
The deadline for submitting applications to the Presbytery Office is no later than 4:00pm — Thursday, October 5, 2023
Older Adults Ministries Endowment Fund –
available for the Synod “to respond to the initiatives of the presbyteries in the development of inter-presbytery shared mission ministries to the end that congregations and constituency groups within the region can better perform their ministries.”
Peacemaking Grant Program
The Committee on Educational Resources is taking applications for Peacemaking Funds available through the presbytery. Grant Guidelines and an Application may be downloaded and forwarded to the Committee in care of the presbytery office.
Ramsey Mission Grants
The Ramsey Grant program supports the international mission efforts of congregations/related organizations within Shenandoah Presbytery. Preference is given to new mission initiatives to encourage congregations to seek fresh ways of serving Jesus Christ in the world.

Synod of Mid-Atlantic Grants
Visionary Fund – available for use for ministries to define a specific need and plan that clearly focuses on new, existing, racially inclusive and creative programs which address ways to implement the priorities of the Synod in the areas of education, evangelism, and social justice. Presbyteries are welcome to propose projects in these areas.
